Research in Problem-Solving

By submitting new issues and solutions to previously presented problems in two of the most prominent mathematical problem-solving journals—Mathematical Reflection and Crux Mathematicorum of the Canadian Mathematical Society—mentees of AMMOC are actively engaged in problem-solving research. According to the IMO website, Crux Mathematicorum is the most esteemed periodical for problem solving.

AMMOC pupils are forces to reckon with when it comes to their exceptional contribution to two of the most prestigious problem-solving research journals:

  • Crux Mathematicorum of the Canadian Mathematical Society, wherein recently the journal acknowledged a total of 23 correct solutions submitted by the pupils of AMMOC. In particular, the journal also published the original work of Shaurya Patil [MA344] and Madani Harouach Valensi; see his original contribution here
  • AMMOC is the most contributing group across any issue of the Mathematical Reflection, a journal founded and edited by the doyen of the IMO, Prof. Titu Andreescu.
