A glimpse into records of Team – AMMOC

Scholarly protege Konstantinos Charalampous  won IMO with Honourable Mention and received full scholarship to study UG at the University of Chicago, class of 2027. 

Protegee Adelina earned the bronze medal in the most prestigious mathematical Olympics for women – the European Girls Mathematics Olympiad (EGMO). She is a sophomore at the University of Toronto with a “scholarship”. 

  • The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) and the EGMO are the two most prestigious of all mathematical contests for high school students across the world. These contests are widely regarded as the barometers of mathematical acumen and intellectual fashion of teenagers in any country.

How did our students do at IMO?

  • Given that AMMOC was started in 2020, the first fellow, Konstantinos Charalampous, of the inaugural class of AMMOC, was a team member of the national team of Cyprus for IMO in the years 2021 & 2022. He won an honourable mention for solving a perfect problem (7/7) in combinatorics. Konstantinos’s records at the IMO 2022 are here. Konstantinos is a UG student at the University of Chicago for the class of 2027. He received a full scholarship to study mathematics at UChicago. In addition to this, he was also offered admission at Imperial College London, University of Toronto & University of Warwick.

How did our student(s) do at EGMO?

  • Adelina Patlatii won bronze, an honourable mention and bronze in three consecutive years, 2020 – 2022, respectively. Her records at EGMO are available here. Adelina has completed her first year at the University of Toronto. She received a full scholarship at the University of Toronto under the scheme “The UToronto International Scholar Award”. She also received admission offers from the University of Cornell, the University of Wisconsin (Madison) & the University of Amsterdam.
  • Keisha Kwok was a participant at the EGMO 2026. She was part of an accelerated programme for the IMO & EGMO. She scored 8 on the paper of EGMO ’26. She is an incoming student at the Cambridge Tripos.
